Announcing New Poetry Site: PoemsOutLoud.net

Today is the official launch of Poems Out Loud, a new website that explores the art of reading poetry…out loud! The site offers a month-long daily blog written by former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky. Throughout the month of April, he'll be discussing over twenty poems and reading them out loud.

Head over to the site right now to read (and listen to) Robert Pinsky's first blog posts of the month. You'll also find an essay by the Pulitzer-prize winning poet Maxine Kumin on the importance of memorizing poems. Throughout National Poetry Month we'll continue to offer more essays on poetry by prize-winning poets, Robert Pinsky's daily blog, over twenty-five poets reading their work out loud, book giveaways, and much more.
